The Windward Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Chadwick Dolphins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Windward will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Chadwick is ranked second).
Last Friday, Windward had to suffer through a rough 55-22 loss at the hands of Flintridge Prep. Windward was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-8.
Meanwhile, Chadwick put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They strolled past Sage Hill with points to spare, taking the game 40-21.
Chadwick got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joshua Goodman out in front who rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also caught a touchdown. Goodman was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards. Max Polin also helped out with an impressive 103 receiving yards.
Chadwick's win bumped their season record to 6-0 while Windward's defeat dropped theirs to 1-4.
Windward suffered a grim 53-28 defeat to Chadwick in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Can Windward avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
