Greeley moved up to 255 from 308 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 1 A - 1. The Quakers were able to move up by besting Gorton 34-6.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Panas beat Mt. Vernon 24-8. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Panthers.
Panas' dynamic duo of Liam Hagens and Tim Mccauley proved tough for the Knights to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hagens threw for 181 yards and 3 touchdowns and Mccauley had 75 yards receiving. John Brophy helped Panas' passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 47 yards.
He was 10-17 with 1 interception.
6-foot-3 quarterback Brian Prunty of Lakeland is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,112. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Kyle Catalano. The Brewster star has 29 catches for 492 yards.
Yorktown led the league in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on Poughkeepsie.
