The Palmer Ridge Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Lewis-Palmer, falling 69-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Palmer Ridge in their matchups with Lewis-Palmer: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Palmer Ridge still got an impressive performance from Alex Kraft, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Jimmer Weir was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
It was another big night for Cohen Edmondson, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Lewis-Palmer. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Johnson, who scored 12 points.
Palmer Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Lewis-Palmer, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Palmer Ridge will head out on the road to take on Air Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Palmer Ridge will be up against Air Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.33 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing. As for Lewis-Palmer, they will be playing at home against Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lutheran has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 895 points over their last 12 matches.
