Brunswick won the last time they faced Smithsburg and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Railroaders came out on top against the Leopards by a score of 6-2.

Sienna Russo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Russo was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taylor Benson, who earned two runs and four stolen bases.

Brunswick's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Smithsburg, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Brunswick has already played their next match (against Middletown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Smithsburg, they will venture away from home to face off against Clear Spring at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
