Richardson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Jalei O'neal was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Our Lady of Good Counsel is ranked highly in their home state, and on Sunday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Friends' Central. Our Lady of Good Counsel came out on top against Friends' Central by a score of 65-54.
Our Lady of Good Counsel relied on the efforts of Talayah Walker, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds, and Caliyah Devillasee, who scored 29 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Walker has scored at least 25% of Our Lady of Good Counsel's points. Another player making a difference was Kaia Christian, who scored 7 points.
Colonial's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.67 points. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's contest: Colonial have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 4.4 threes per game.
