The Unity Christian Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Unity Christian is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
On Thursday, Unity Christian came up short against Calvary Christian Academy and fell 39-30.
Meanwhile, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City made easy work of Ramsey on Thursday and carried off a 54-32 win. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City pushed the score to 46-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Ramsey cut but never quite recovered from.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City can attribute much of their success to Macee Rodman, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals, and Ruby Stuckemeyer, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Baya Fingo, who scored five points along with four steals.
Unity Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 16 of their last 20 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-23 record this season. As for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-13.
