Make it seven blowout wins for the Roosevelt Teddies this season. They beat North Community on Tuesday by the very same score they won with last week: 60-34. Given Roosevelt's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while North Community is ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Roosevelt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Wren, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Jaida Walker was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
Roosevelt's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for North Community, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Roosevelt will be playing in front of their home fans against Washburn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Community will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th.
