Starmount extended the longest winning streak in 2A/1A Conference 6 this week by beating Mitchell, 42-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Rams.
Starmount took down the Mountaineers 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Zach Freed threw for 42 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 60 yards during the win.
Scott Johnson's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Freed contributed 60 yards. Kyle Matthews helped Starmount's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 16 yards.

North Wilkes's LJ Hendren and Josh Bare have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Hendren has thrown for 2,287 yards this season, while Bare has 45 catches for 988 yards. Victor Williams from Wilkes Central leads the league in rushing with 1,495 yards.
The Vikings' Bare is only 12 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Shelby. So far this year, he has acheived 45 catches for 988 yards.
Starmount led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Russell Barnett's team. Freed in the win.
