The Simon Tech Huskies struggled with offensive rebounds on Thursday (the WISH Academy Owls had 13 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Simon Tech took a serious blow against WISH Academy, falling 91-20. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Simon Tech in their matchups with WISH Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Simon Tech still got an impressive performance from Karlos Hodgson, who scored 17 points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that Hodgson posted two or more blocks.
Among those leading the charge was Dawit Kebede, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Enoch Tessema was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Simon Tech bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for WISH Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Simon Tech will head out on the road to take on Animo Watts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for WISH Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Animo Venice at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Animo Venice is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
