The Cedar Park Timberwolves will be playing at home against the Leander Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Cedar Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
Cedar Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak. They fell just short of Glenn by a score of 45-43.
Despite their loss, Cedar Park saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Nabil Ismail, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Kalen Williamson, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Leander humbled the Lobos with a 78-40 victory. Given Leander's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Lobos are ranked 924th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cedar Park's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Leander, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.
Cedar Park strolled past the Lions in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 54-40. Will Cedar Park repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
