Grinnell has been on a difficult stretch since their win on April 15. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clear Creek-Amana Clippers on Monday. Grinnell were not able to make up for their defeat to Clear Creek-Amana from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Grinnell's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-2. As for Clear Creek-Amana, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-11.
