The Springbrook Blue Devils pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paint Branch. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (57), Springbrook still had to take the loss.
Isaiah Lee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Paint Branch, scoring 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Dennis Tamnou, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Springbrook bumped their record down to 2-3 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Paint Branch, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springbrook will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Magruder at 7:15 p.m. on January 16, 2024. Paint Branch will be home for the holidays to greet Blake at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Blake has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 271 points over their last four matchups.
