After a string of four wins, the Mount Juliet Christian Academy Saints's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Davidson Academy. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Mount Juliet Christian Academy came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Davidson Academy is ranked 326th).
Defeat or not, Mount Juliet Christian Academy got some senior leadership from Christian Frewin who scored 14 points and Jamie Edgerton who scored 10 points. Frewin hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Mount Juliet Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Davidson Academy, the last time they lost on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now won three straight away contests, they've pushed their record up to 2-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Donelson Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Davidson Academy will host Donelson Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Mount Juliet Christian Academy will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
