Another player making a difference was Cam Johnson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Newcastle bumped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Buffalo, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-6.
