The Westover Wolverines won the last time they faced the Triton Hawks, and things went their way on Friday too. Westover enjoyed a cozy 59-44 victory over Triton. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Westover.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westover to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rmani Robinson, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. Princess Canady was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Triton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Iliana Eason, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eason has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nashara McNeil-Watlington, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Westover is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Triton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.
Westover will head out on the road to take on Overhills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Overhills has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Triton, they will be playing at home against Western Harnett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Harnett comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
