Tempe has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 41-14, which was the final score in Tempe's tilt against American Leadership Academy - Ironwood on Friday.
Despite the defeat, Tempe saw an underclassman step up: Saul Mendez threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Bourgade Catholic, who are still winless after their eighth game. They were outmatched by Gilbert Christian on the road and fell 62-14. Even though the team lost, they still came through with several impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Devon Lopez, who picked up 132 receiving yards and a touchdown.
