Northeast is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Meade is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Northeast Eagles will take on the Meade Mustangs at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Northeast knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Meade likes a good challenge.
Even though Annapolis scored an imposing 66 points on Monday, Northeast still came out on top. Northeast strolled past Annapolis with points to spare, taking the game 81-66.
Meanwhile, Meade can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They put the hurt on North County with a sharp 67-45 victory. With Meade ahead 40-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Ashton Turman and Josh Holmes were among the main playmakers for Meade as the former scored 15 points and the latter scored 17 points. Turman hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Lucaya Baldridge, who scored eight points.
Northeast has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Meade, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.
Northeast couldn't quite finish off Meade when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 61-58. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Turman, who scored 24 points along with five assists.
