Basketball Recap: Jamari Ross Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Doral Academy Red Rock

Sports Leadership & Management won the last time they faced Doral Academy Red Rock and things went their way on Monday too. The Sports Leadership & Management Bulls strolled past the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons with points to spare, taking the game 73-56. The score was all tied up 35-35 at the break, but the Bulls were the better team in the second half.

Sports Leadership & Management's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamari Ross, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Jael Cousett, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Sports Leadership & Management smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Despite the defeat, Doral Academy Red Rock saw an underclassman step up: freshman Brennan Cuello went 8 of 18 on his way to 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cuello has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris Brown, who posted 17 points.

Sports Leadership & Management's record is now 6-7. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.
