Baseball Recap: First Baptist Christian Takes a Loss

First Baptist Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-5 to the Christian Academy of Louisiana Crusaders. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 15-1 to the Crusaders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gavin Francis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

First Baptist Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Christian Academy of Louisiana, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

First Baptist Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Academy of Louisiana, they have already played their next matchup, a 9-5 defeat against Faith Training Christian Academy on the 7th.
