Longmont was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  55-44 to the St. Mary's Pirates. One positive for the Trojans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Kaila Patterson, who  posted 19 points. That was a full 43.2% of Longmont's points, marking the third time in a row she's   earned  more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was  Luna Ready, who  went 5 for 8  on her way to 10  points and five  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Longmont  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Mary's only pulled down six  offensive boards.
  Jaela Pedro continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Mary's,  going 12 of 20  on her way to 31  points in addition to eight  boards and three  blocks. Those 31 points gave  Pedro a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kylie Nail, who  had 11  points and three  steals.
Longmont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for St. Mary's,  the  win  got them back to even at 2-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Longmont is headed away from home for the first time to  challenge  Montbello  at 5:30  p.m.  on December 16th. As for St. Mary's, they will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kent Denver at 5:30  p.m.  on December 17th.
