Timberline has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Deary Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Timberline suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were dealt a 96-38 loss at the hands of Lakeside. While losing is never fun, Timberline can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Lakeside is ranked 32nd).
Meanwhile, Deary strolled past Highland with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 47-29. The win made it back-to-back wins for Deary.
Timberline has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Deary, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Timberline came up short against Deary in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 44-40. Can Timberline avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
