Given Del Oro's advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Laguna Creek is ranked 226th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Del Oro had a senior duo take command as Robert Garcia gained 123 total yards and two touchdowns and Caden Pinnick threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes. Beaux Sauve also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
The win makes it two in a row for Del Oro and bumps their season record up to 7-4. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 17.5 points. As for Laguna Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.
Del Oro will face off against Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jesuit will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Laguna Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
