Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Arcadia

Arcadia extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 3-3. They never let the Leipsic Vikings get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Redskins, who have now won three contests by 13 runs or more so far this season.

Alanna Tucker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other pitching news, Ellie Sherman looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, Addison Colman was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That double was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Carter, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

As for Leipsic, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5. The matchup marked the first time this season in which they were not able to get on the board.

On Leipsic's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Schroeder, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arcadia will welcome Elmwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Redskins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 13.9 runs per game this season. As for Leipsic, they will be playing at home against Cory-Rawson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
