For the first time this season, Glades Day will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Monday. They will welcome the Marathon Dolphins at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Glades Day is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Inlet Grove get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Gators considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Jett Echols looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Glades Day got a massive performance out of Giles Maxwell, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Jordan Vazquez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Glades Day always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .741. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Marathon never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Miami Country Day on Friday. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 25-6 win. The Dolphins haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Jack Chapman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Chapman was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jason Stubblefield Jr., who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Roco Piscetello was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
Glades Day's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Marathon, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Glades Day has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Marathon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
