The Prairie Falcons will face off against the Camas Papermakers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Prairie is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Kelso a 12-0 shutout on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Mackenzie Moore was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Kylie Moore and Kellie Cady did most of the damage at the plate: Kylie got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two runs, while Cady went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was Moore's first of the season. Emersyn Blunt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Prairie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Camas came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Plainsmen 32-0. Considering the Papermakers have won three contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jameson McNeley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. McNeley was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Camas got a massive performance out of Ellie Wittler, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Keegan Kirkwood, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and four RBI.
Camas' win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Prairie, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Prairie hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Camas struggles in that department as they've averaged .373. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
