The Seneca Bobcats will be playing at home against the Maplewood Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seneca will be strutting in after a win while Maplewood will be coming in after a loss.
Seneca fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They snuck past Northwestern with a 20-15 victory on Saturday.
Nolan Seabury was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 50 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Maplewood missed an extra point against Cochranton on Friday and it came back to haunt them. Maplewood was just a hair shy of victory and fell 14-13 to Cochranton.
Despite the loss, Maplewood saw an underclassman step up: Kyle Jordan rushed for 85 yards, and also threw for 87 yards and two touchdowns.
Seneca is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season. As for Maplewood, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-6.
Everything came up roses for Seneca against Maplewood in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 40-13 win. Will Seneca repeat their success, or does Maplewood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
