The NSU University Sharks are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Lake Howell Silver Hawks at 9:30 a.m. on December 28th. NSU University has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 854 points over their last 11 matchups.
NSU University has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 24 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 81-43 victory over Bridge to Independence on the road. Given NSU University's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Bridge to Independence is ranked 422nd), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Evans Barning was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 18 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Anthony Ferrer, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Lake Howell beat Fleming Island 58-50 on Wednesday.
Lake Howell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Janiel De los santos, who scored 14 points. The game was De los santos' third in a row with at least ten points. Mason Forbes was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
NSU University's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Lake Howell, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
