The Traders Point Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Horizon Christian at home by a decisive 59-45 margin. While losing is never fun, Traders Point Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 399th, while Horizon Christian is ranked 103rd).
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Quentin Jones, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. Kameron Reese was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Horizon Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landyn Loring, who scored ten points along with eight assists and five steals. The contest was Loring's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Quinn Yoder, who scored eight points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Traders Point Christian's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Horizon Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Traders Point Christian will stay at home for another game and welcome Tri-County at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Horizon Christian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Herron at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Herron comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
