The South Oak Cliff Bears won the last time they faced the Hillcrest Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. South Oak Cliff managed a 54-48 victory over Hillcrest.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Creed Vance, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jed-ethan Nansha, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds.
South Oak Cliff is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Hillcrest, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
South Oak Cliff will be playing in front of their home fans against Molina at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Molina is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Hillcrest, they will head out on the road to face off against Sunset at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sunset will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1253rd, while Hillcrest is ranked 496th).
