Owatonna has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Austin Packers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Even though Owatonna has not done well against the Wingers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Owatonna came out on top against the Wingers by a score of 64-54.
Owatonna got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carsyn Brady out in front who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Maryn Pool, who scored 16 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, everything went Austin's way against the Tigers on Tuesday as the Packers made off with a 81-56 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Austin.
Owatonna has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for Austin, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Owatonna was able to grind out a solid win over the Packers when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 67-59. Will Owatonna repeat their success, or do the Packers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
