Meridian extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 7-4. They skirted past the Gladwin Flying G 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted against the Flying G's since May 5, 2022.

As for Gladwin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games.

For Gladwin's part, Angelica Corlew was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.

Meridian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Flying G's: the pair will be back at it again later today.
