The Pattonsburg Panthers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-6 victory over North Andrew. For Pattonsburg, this counts as revenge for the 68-24 loss North Andrew walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2022.
Gage Iddings continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 268 yards and six touchdowns while completing 83.8% of his passes, and also rushing for 90 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Griffith, who picked up 156 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Pattonsburg's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for North Andrew, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pattonsburg will take on Albany on Friday. Albany knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Pattonsburg likes a good challenge. As for North Andrew, they will head out on the road to face off against East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax]'s favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while North Andrew has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
