The South Central Timberwolves will challenge the Independent Panthers at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (South Central has four straight  wins, Independent has four straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
 Last Friday,  everything came up roses for South Central on the road  against Kiowa County as the  team secured  a  54-8 victory. The result was nothing new for the Timberwolves, who have now won three games by 46  points or more  so far this season.
 It was another big night for  JT Prusa, who rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 116  rushing yards dating back to last season.  Coda Lindsay was another key player, rushing for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: South Central was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 303  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 162  rushing yards in four consecutive  contests.
 One reason for the win was South Central's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks.  Jase Rutherford was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up threehimself.
 Meanwhile, Independent had to suffer through a   84-12 loss at the hands of Oxford.
 South Central's win was  their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Independent, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
