The Lake Country Christian Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 40-14 defeat at the hands of Grace Prep. Lake Country Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Grace Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gannon Mcelroy, who threw for 161 yards and a touchdown.
Kaden Lehew was a one-man wrecking crew for Grace Prep as he rushed for 220 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Bryce Prince was another key contributor, rushing for 126 yards and a touchdown.
Lake Country Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Grace Prep, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Country Christian will face off against Dallas Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Dallas Christian's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last eight games. As for Grace Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Brook Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
