The Plumas Charter Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Dunsmuir Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Plumas Charter has six straight victories, Dunsmuir has 28 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Plumas Charter got the win against Burney by a conclusive 16-2. Considering the Warriors have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jhett Neer and Cooper Clark made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Neer pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Clark tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Neer has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Neer went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Clark went 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Neer has become a key player for Plumas Charter: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nate Patterson, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Plumas Charter's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Mille, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Plumas Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .571 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Dunsmuir lost 23-3 to Burney on Tuesday.
Plumas Charter's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Dunsmuir, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
Dunsmuir's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Plumas Charter has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .437. It's a different story for Dunsmuir, though, as they've only averaged .246. Will they be able to contain Plumas Charter's hitters?
Plumas Charter took their win against Dunsmuir in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 20-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
