Nobody could stop Xavier Boyd on Thursday as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over 6.1 innings pitched. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his sixth in a row with two or fewer walks. This year, he has an ERA of 5.07 over 19.1 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Boyd and Knox will square off against West Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Redskins are a perfect 4-0 against the Trojans going back to May of 2016, a lead they'll look to extend.
