The matchup between Jackson County and Leslie County on Thursday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Generals blew past the Eagles 15-9. Considering the Generals have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Leslie County, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson County will venture away from home to face off against Floyd Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.86 runs per game on average), something the Generals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Leslie County, they will head out on the road to square off against Breathitt County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
