Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Morningside Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Old Plank Christian Academy by a score of 31-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Morningside Academy has suffered since December 5, 2023.
Donna Klein Jewish Academy pushed their record up to 5-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Morningside Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
