After a string of four wins, the Carrollton Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 65-36 loss at the hands of West Branch. Carrollton lost against West Branch in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 53-41 score last time.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hillari Baker, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brae Roudebush, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Carrollton's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for West Branch, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Carrollton will head out on the road to face off against Steubenville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Steubenville's defense has only allowed 28.2 points per game this season, so Carrollton's offense will have their work cut out for Carrollton. As for West Branch, they will be playing at home against Salem at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Salem will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 464th, while West Branch is ranked 41st).
