The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Kamiak Knights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Edmonds-Woodway is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
Edmonds-Woodway had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Lynnwood on Wednesday. The Warriors blew past the Royals 19-7. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

Edmonds-Woodway got a massive performance out of Abby McCorvey, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and one run. Those four hits gave McCorvey a new career-high. Abby Tracy was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Edmonds-Woodway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .550. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Kamiak came out on top against Glacier Peak on Friday by a score of 2-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Synclair Mawudeku spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emma Stansfield, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Edmonds-Woodway's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Kamiak, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Kamiak's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Edmonds-Woodway has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .497. It's a different story for Kamiak, though, as they've only averaged .365. Will they be able to contain Edmonds-Woodway's hitters?
Edmonds-Woodway might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Kamiak when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
