The Pinnacle found their leader in underclassman Caleb Arellano, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Arellano is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Agustin Jaime was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for The Pinnacle and bumps their season record up to 2-5. As for Sheridan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Pinnacle will square off against Jefferson at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jefferson is on a three-game streak of home losses, The Pinnacle a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Sheridan, they will head out on the road to square off against Englewood at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Dominic Dever and Bobby Garcia.
