The Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Regents Academy 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Landry Gammon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 32 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. Gammon is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Koerth, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Athens Christian Preparatory Academy has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Regents Academy, they bumped their record down to 1-2 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season.
