Coshocton is 6-0 against Crooksville since December of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Coshocton Redskins will be home for the holidays to greet the Crooksville Ceramics at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Coshocton's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Crooksville has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Coshocton came up short against New Lexington and fell 64-54. Coshocton has not had much luck with New Lexington recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Colton Conkle put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 24 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gage Wright, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Crooksville was beaten by New Lexington 71-41 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Crooksville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 643rd, while New Lexington is ranked 178th).
Coshocton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Crooksville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Coshocton was able to grind out a solid victory over Crooksville in their previous matchup back in February, winning 57-50. Does Coshocton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Crooksville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
