Hagen Hughes Goes Supernova in Azle Victory
Azle picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Hagen Hughes. Hughes did his part (and then some), rushing for 222 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 57 receiving yards for the 'W'. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
Azle's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Hughes and Azle will take on Ryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Gavin Beard Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Friday, Aledo got the W thanks in part to Gavin Beard playing the best football he has all season. Beard threw for 290 yards and five touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.2 passing touchdowns per game. What's more, he also racked up ten rushing yards, the mosthe's had since back in September of 2023.
The win was the sixth in a row for Aledo, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Beard and Aledo will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Richland at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.
