Section 3 Class AA 2 recap September 10, 2013
Baker's Ricky Sparks rumbled for the longest rushing play in Section 3 Class AA 2 this season in his game against Cicero-North Syracuse last week. Sparks ran for 56 yards on the play and finished with 301 on the day as his team topped the Northstars.
Rome Free Academy moved up to 195 from 324 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Black Knights were able to make move up by beating Whitesboro 15-14.
Rome Free Academy's dynamic duo of Angus Evans and Eddie Campos proved tough for the Warriors to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Evans threw for 159 yards and Campos had 60 yards receiving. Josh Reed helped Rome Free Academy's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 50 yards.
Ted Swavely's team's dynamic duo of Evans and Campos proved to be unstoppable against Whitesboro, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Campos was the best receiver in the league this week as the Black Knights beat Tom Schoen's team.
Sparks was a beast in the backfield as Baker bested Cicero-North Syracuse.
Evans put up the best numbers through the air as Rome Free Academy beat the Warriors.
Sparks was the best running back in Section 3 Class AA 2 this week. Teammate Cole Burchill added to the ground attack by rushing for 20 yards.
Sparks provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Carl Sanfilippo's team bested Joe Sindoni's team.

Fayetteville-Manlius was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. The Hornets defeated Schenectady 55-24 earlier in the week.
