Taylor County suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Aucilla Christian by a score of 40-37.
Taylor County's defeat came about despite a quality game from LeeAsia Johnson, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season.
Gadsden County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Taylor County, they bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Thursday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy contest: Gadsden County have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 10.8 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Taylor County, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 rebounds per game. Given Gadsden County's sizeable advantage in that area, Taylor County will need to find a way to close that gap.
