The Lowry Buckaroos won the last time they faced the Pyramid Lake Lakers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Lowry breezed by Pyramid Lake on the road to the tune of 66-33. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lowry.
Kasyn Garner was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored nine points along with ten rebounds and five assists. He set a new season high mark in steals with three. Another player making a difference was Matthew Casalez, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Pyramid Lake lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Terrell Twohearts, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Takoda Rivers, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
The win got Lowry back to even at 3-3. As for Pyramid Lake, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.
Lowry's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lassen at 1:30 p.m. on December 15th. Lassen is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Pyramid Lake will be home for the holidays to greet McDermitt at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. McDermitt comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
