Baseball Recap: Safford Has No Trouble Against Superior

Safford won the last time they faced Superior and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the Safford Bulldogs' way against the Superior Panthers as the Safford Bulldogs made off with an 11-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Dylan Broderick looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

At the plate, Carlos Arbizo was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Andrew Trujillo, who scored three runs and stole two bases.

Safford's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Superior, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Safford will square off against San Tan Foothills at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Superior, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
