The Lindbergh Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Cedarcrest Red Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lindbergh is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Lindbergh got a massive performance out of Isaiah Soto-Hernandez, who got on base in all six of his plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. The Eagles are undefeated when Soto-Hernandez posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-7 otherwise. Tyson Glenn-Thomas was another key player, going 5-for-6 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
Lindbergh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Cedarcrest ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against Sammamish by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Wolves.
Carter Smith made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Colt Norris tossed a big game, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
Back at the plate, Luke Thompson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2024.
Cedarcrest pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lindbergh, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lindbergh has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Cedarcrest struggles in that department as they've averaged .471. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lindbergh suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Cedarcrest in their previous matchup on April 5th. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
