The Coffee Trojans lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They took a serious blow against Ware County, falling 68-41. While losing is never fun, Coffee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Gators are ranked 79th).
Despite the loss, Coffee still got an impressive performance from Tyriq Edwards, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Edwards has scored all season.
This is the second loss in a row for Coffee and nudges their season record down to 9-12. As for Ware County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
